Terms of Service

The terms and conditions governing your use of the Wirdi platform. By using Wirdi, you agree to these terms.

1. Service description

Wirdi provides online Qur'an memorisation and learning, including:

  • Group cohort classes on a scheduled programme.
  • Self-practice tools and performance tracking.
  • Periodic progress reports for the parent / guardian.

The service is operated by Wirdi.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account in your own name. Children under 16 may not create independent accounts; however, a parent or legal guardian may create a managed account for a child under their supervision.

By creating an account for a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. Account responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information at signup, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and never share them.
  • One account per person — multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Wirdi offers two plans:

  • Free plan: Limited access to selected tools and content, with no charges.
  • Paid plan: Enrolment in a group cohort class for a fee disclosed at the point of enrolment.

Prices are presented clearly before you complete enrolment, inclusive of applicable taxes where required. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

Multi-currency: You are billed in the currency you select at the time of enrolment. The billing currency remains fixed for the duration of the current subscription period.

Auto-renewal: If your plan is recurring (e.g. monthly), it will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can disable auto-renewal at any time from your account settings.

5. Refund policy

Paid classes: No refunds are available once a cohort or class has started. You may request a full refund at any time before the cohort start date.

We may consider exceptional cases (e.g. medical emergencies or a technical failure on our end) on a case-by-case basis and at our discretion. To request an exception, email team@wirdi.app.

6. Acceptable use

When using the platform, you agree to:

  • Treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with respect.
  • Observe the etiquette and rulings of Qur'anic recitation.
  • Not record or re-broadcast session content in any form without explicit permission.
  • Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or any purpose contrary to Islamic teachings.
  • Not attempt to access platform systems through unauthorised means.

Violation of any of the above may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its design, tools, and software are owned by Wirdi and protected by intellectual-property law.

Any audio recordings or content you generate while using the platform (e.g. your own recitation recordings) remain your property. By accepting these Terms, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, process, and play back this content to you for the sole purpose of supporting your learning journey.

8. Account suspension and termination

By you: You may cancel your account at any time via your settings or by emailing team@wirdi.app.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach the Acceptable Use policy.
  • You provide false or misleading information.
  • You fail to pay agreed fees.
  • You engage in any fraudulent or harmful activity targeting the platform or its users.

We will normally notify you in advance, unless the nature of the breach requires immediate action.

9. Disclaimers

Wirdi's services are provided "as is", without express or implied warranties. In particular, we do not warrant:

  • Achievement of any specific memorisation or proficiency outcome — outcomes depend on the student's own effort.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free availability of the service.
  • Compatibility with every device or browser.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. For material changes, we will notify users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
